Barcode Requirements

Barcode Requirements

To ensure a smooth fulfillment process when selling products via Fulfilled by Noon (FBN) or Fulfilled by Partner (FBP), having barcodes on all units is mandatory. Barcodes play a crucial role in accurate order fulfillment, item tracking, and quality checks. Here’s everything you need to know about creating, uploading, and printing barcodes for your products on Noon.

Why Barcodes Are Important

  • Accurate Order Fulfillment: Barcodes enable precision in picking and packing orders.
  • Efficient Tracking: Each product can be tracked throughout the fulfillment cycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Products with barcodes are more likely to pass quality checks, reducing chances of rejection.

Barcode Options

If your products lack a manufacturer barcode, you must create your own. Here are your options:

  • Custom Barcodes: Create a unique alphanumeric barcode up to 16 characters.
  • Partner SKU/Model Number: You can use your Partner SKU or product model number as the barcode.

Avoid using symbols (+, /, -, %, &, etc.) or spaces between characters.

Barcode Printing Guidelines

To print barcodes directly from Seller Lab, use a Zebra printer with ZPL programming language compatibility. For alternative printers, generate free barcodes using this generator.
Key Steps:
  1. Barcode Upload: Upload all barcodes to Seller Lab and ensure they are visible on your product packaging. Products without barcodes will be rejected during quality checks and cannot be fulfilled.
  2. Printer Compatibility: Only Zebra printers are compatible with Seller Lab. Verify your Zebra model supports ZPL programming.
  3. QZ Tray Installation: Download QZ Tray to enable barcode printing from Seller Lab. Instructions are provided in the next section.

For non-Zebra printers, print your barcodes using a free generator.

Notes
Note: Once a barcode is assigned to an SKU, the seller cannot delete it. The seller can upload a new barcode, but the original barcode will remain.
