Choosing the best delivery estimate for FBP orders

Choosing the best delivery estimate for FBP orders

This article guides sellers on setting the most effective processing times for Fulfilled by Partner (FBP) orders on Noon, balancing reliability and speed to enhance customer satisfaction and potentially boost sales.

Calculating the Estimated Shipping Date (ESD)

  • Sellers can set a default processing time at the warehouse level for all items or individually for each item.

  • Noon adds extra time to cover logistics from the warehouse to the customer, varying by customer location and the location of Noon's hubs.

    • For Sellers operating on Pick up mode: ESD = Order Date + PT + noon pick-up time

    • For Sellers operating on Drop-off mode, ESD = Order Date + PT.

Note: Processing time is the time the seller needs to prepare the package and keep it ready for drop off or pick up.

Best Practices for Setting Processing Time

  • Ensure the processing time is achievable to maintain a high "ready on time" rate and avoid penalties.

  • Starting with a longer processing time is advisable, and once reliability is established, reducing the processing time can lead to increased sales.

  • For items you can deliver quickly and reliably, set a shorter processing time to improve sales and reduce cancellations.

Delivery Estimate Range

A range instead of a fixed delivery date indicates faster than expected deliveries. Noon bases the faster estimate on your majority delivery times. Reliability is judged on the later promise, and reducing overall processing time can be beneficial if consistently meeting the earlier estimate.

Quick-Fulfill Processing Time

This new option requires handover of Directship orders to Noon within 6 to 24 hours. It can be set at either the item level or warehouse level, enhancing the visibility of faster delivery estimates on Noon's platform.
