The DirectShip Fee, charged upon shipping an order, is based on the higher of the shipment's physical or volumetric weight. Note that this fee is non-refundable, except in cases like customer unresponsiveness leading to undelivered shipments.
To calculate the fee:
Step1: Select your shipment’s classification (standard or oversize) based on its dimensions.
Step 2: Calculate both the shipping weight (physical weight + packaging weight) and volumetric weight (Length x Breadth x Height / 5000), rounding up to the nearest 50g.
Step 3: Use the higher of these two weights as the base for your fee calculation.
Step 4: Ensure the weight doesn’t exceed the maximum limit for its classification.

Once you have determined the weight category:
Refer to the FBP DirectShip Fee Table.
Match your shipment’s classification and weight slab to the corresponding fee.
DirectShip Fee Table:
Dimensions: 17.4 x 8.81 x 2.8 cm
Shipment's physical weight: 0.32 kg
Based on the dimensions, this is a standard parcel which has 0.10 kg of packaging weight. The corresponding shipping weight is:
Shipping Weight = Shipment's physical weight + Packaging Weight = (0.32+0.10) kg = 0.42 kg (approximately 0.5 kg)
Volumetric Weight: Length*Breadth*Height/5000 = 17.4*8.81*2.8/5000= 0.086 kg.
Since shipping weight is higher we take that as the base.
Therefore, this is under the 500 g maximum shipping weight for standard parcel.
