Documents Required to Sell on noon

Becoming a seller on noon is straightforward and simple. By following a few easy steps, you’ll be on your way to launching your store fast.

Before you begin the registration process, you need to prepare all the required documents. This article outlines and covers all the documents you need for a successful registration.

 Categories of Sellers

You can sell on noon if your credentials satisfy the requirements of one of the following categories:
  • Local Seller, i.e., your company, is registered in the country you wish to sell. 
  • International Seller i.e., your company is not registered in the country you wish to sell. 
  • Individual Seller i.e., in Egypt, using your Data Certificate.

Note: As per Ministry of Commerce guidance, registration for Individual Sellers in KSA using Freelance Certificates is currently suspended. Only service-based activities are permitted under this certificate, which does not cover e-commerce trading

- Applicants must provide a valid Commercial Registration (CR) authorizing trading/e-commerce activities.

Freelance Certificates are no longer accepted for new KSA seller registrations. 
Individual Sellers need to provide Data Certificate as an alternative to the trade license.

VAT Registration Certificate 

As a Local Seller or Individual Seller, you can also sell on noon if you are not registered under VAT by just selecting the 'Non-VAT Registered' option in the tax details section while creating a Legal Entity.

Mandatory for KSA:

To reduce compliance risks and potential complaints to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), all sellers operating in KSA must provide a valid VAT registration number.

Invoices issued without a valid VAT number are subject to regulatory scrutiny.

Valid Identity Proof

  • Emirates ID (front and back side)
  • Passport

You need to submit one (1) of the below identification documents:

  • Saudi National ID
  • Iqama
  • Passport

  • Egyptian National ID
  • Passport

Bank Account Details

Note

-Seller cannot submit personal bank account details
-Bank name should match with legal registered Name.

You need to submit one (1) of the below documents:

  • Cancelled cheque
  • Bank account details on the bank’s letterhead, signed & stamped by the bank
  • Bank statement

You need to submit one (1) of the below documents:

  • Cancelled cheque
  • Bank account details on the bank’s letterhead, signed & stamped by the bank

Not applicable: Your company has to be mandatorily registered in Egypt to be able sell in noon Egypt.

 Please keep the following points in mind while preparing your documents:
  1. To be able to sell on noon, your trade license must authorize trading, selling, or manufacturing activities. Additionally, an E-Commerce license is also accepted. However, licenses limited to service provision are not accepted.
  2. Each set of documents must be unique to a single account. Sellers cannot use the same documents (e.g., trade license, identity proof, or bank account details) for more than one account.
  3. The required personal ID must be of the person mentioned on the trade license. If the name on the ID is different than the one on the trade license, we require a power of attorney from an authorized personnel stating that the designated person can act on behalf of the person holding the trading license and their company.
  4. Bank Details: Providing bank details is optional and not required for registration. However, adding them ensures smooth payment processing for both local and international transactions.
  5. If you have previously submitted any of the required documents, there is no need to resubmit them to avoid duplication.
  6. Ministry of Commerce (KSA) Policy: In accordance with the E-commerce Monitoring Department's recommendations, noon has stopped onboarding sellers using Freelance Certificates due to increased customer complaints and regulatory referrals to security authorities.
  7. Registration of e-commerce activities for holders of Freelance Certificates through the Saudi Business Center has been halted. Sellers must ensure their business activity is correctly registered as a commercial entity to continue trading


FAQ


Q: Can I request copies of my Trade License, VAT Certificate, Tax documents, Bank Details, or ID documents submitted to noon?


A: Unfortunately, noon does not provide copies of documents submitted during registration. We recommend keeping your own copies securely stored for future reference.

Q: I have a Freelance Certificate for Sales Promotion; why can't I register in KSA?

A: The Ministry of Commerce has restricted these certificates to service-based activities only. For e-commerce and retail sales on noon, a formal Commercial Registration (CR) is mandatory to comply with ZATCA and Ministry of Commerce regulations.
