Yes, of course. noon aims to support all local businesses with a valid trading license including those that haven't accumulated the annual turnover required to register for VAT in your country.
With your registered company in either UAE, KSA or Egypt, you can also sell on noon if you are not registered under VAT by just selecting the 'Non-VAT Registered' option in the tax details section while creating a Legal Entity.
Note: If you are an International Seller i.e. if your company is not
registered in UAE, KSA or Egypt VAT registration certificate issued by
the country in which you wish to sell is mandatory.
Should my prices be inclusive of VAT?
Yes, your prices should always be inclusive of VAT if you are VAT registered. For non-VAT registered sellers sellers, they have the freedom to adjust their pricing without adding the VAT.
- VAT registered sellers directly pay the VAT amounts to the government themselves.
- As for non- VAT-registered sellers, they just need to share the declaration form.
Am I liable to pay the VAT to the government if I'm not VAT-registered?
No, if you are non-VAT seller so you will not be liable to pay the VAT to the government.
Am I liable to pay VAT to the government as a VAT-registered seller?
All Vat registered sellers are liable to pay the VAT to the government. noon raises legal tax invoices to customers on the seller’s behalf which can be downloaded from the Statement & Invoices tab of Seller Lab. You can use these invoices to pay the VAT to the government.
Will the VAT apply on the noon fees and commissions?
Yes, the VAT value relevant to your country will apply on the noon fees and commissions as they represent the charge of the service that noon sells to you. This will be applicable for VAT and non-VAT sellers.
Will I be provided an invoice of the fees & commissions that I will be charged?
Yes, you’ll receive a "noon fee" tax invoice for all fees and commissions deducted. You can access these invoices in Seller Lab by navigating to the Statement & Invoices tab, selecting Invoices, and then clicking on Noon Fees. These tax invoices can be used to claim your input VAT from the government.
Are noon fees and commissions inclusive of VAT?
No, noon fees are exclusive of VAT, so you must calculate the VAT value of the fees and commissions and add it to your price.
My VAT name is not appearing on the FTA; can you still accept my VAT registration?
Answer: Please follow the steps to add your Tax Details in Legal Entity (LE) settings. This will ensure your VAT name displays correctly.
I’ve applied for my VAT certificate and have a confirmation slip, but it hasn’t been approved yet. Can it be accepted without the certificate?
Answer: You'll need to verify with the FTA directly to request an update to the name on their site. Alternatively, if you've recently updated the name, please allow some time for it to reflect.
