Seller FAQs for Noon Global Store: Expanding from UAE to KSA

Activating a Global Store

Q: How can a UAE seller at noon activate a global store to sell in KSA?
A: A step-by-step guide is available here to activate your store and start selling in KSA using your noon UAE store.

Pricing for Global Products 

Q: How will the Global products be priced?
 A
  • Sellers upload KSA prices in USD using Seller Lab. For more details click here.
  • VAT and import-related charges are excluded during upload. Noon calculates these charges and adds them to the final price shown to customers.
  • Noon collects and remits all additional fees to the relevant authorities. 

Product Eligibility

Q: What products are eligible for Noon Global?
A: Most products that are sold on FBN in UAE can be sold on Global KSA except for following
    • Items where volumetric weight or actual weight is more than 10kg
    • Items with longest dimension greater than 60cm
    • Items prohibited/restricted in KSA by law. You can find here the products that are Prohibited to ship in Saudi Arabia.

    Fees for Noon Global

    Q: What is the fee for selling on noon Global?
    A: For selling on noon global store in KSA, seller will incur two fee: 
    • Standard UAE FBN Charges: Applicable as per the Noon rate card. Refer to the FBN rate card.
    • Global Referral Fee: An additional fee on items sold, subsidized at 100% until 31st December 2024. Other fees remain per the rate card.

    Q: Are sellers required to pay storage fees for stocks in the noon freezone warehouse, and if so, what are the typical charges and determining factors involved?

    A: All items available in the freezone warehouse will be treated the same as local FBN WH. Rates and charges will remain the same as noon FBN rate card. 

    Order Fulfillment

    Q: Who will fulfill the Global orders?
    A: For FBN (Fulfilled by noon) partners, the fulfillment will be taken care of by noon. Here's how it works:
    1. Transfer the stock to any of noon’s eligible warehouses using the regular ASN creation process. List of eligible Warehouses

    1. Upon receiving an order from the customer, noon will pack and ship the item directly to the customer. 

    VAT and Invoicing

    Q: Will the KSA VAT charged to the customer be included on the invoice?
    A: No, KSA VAT will be collected by noon and will be paid to relevant authorities. No VAT or any other import related charges will be included in the invoice

    Q: Do I need to have VAT registration in KSA to start a global store at noon and sell in KSA?

    A: There is no mandatory requirement for VAT registration in KSA for noon global store

    Payments and Financial Statements

    Q: Where can I find the financial statements for a global account?
    A: Financial statements can be found under the ‘Payments & fees’ section in the seller lab of existing accounts. Seller needs to select the country as ‘Saudi Arabia’ for global account statement. 

    Q: Will I receive payments in my UAE account even if I have a legal entity in KSA or am currently selling in KSA?

    A: Yes, all payments for your global store will be deposited into your existing UAE account linked to your Noon UAE seller account.

    Q: What is the currency of the payment settlement, will it be in AED or USD?

    A: The currency of the payment settlement will be USD between noon and seller’s bank

    Q: If I already have an existing legal entity in KSA or am an existing KSA seller, where will my sales data, payment and financial statements for the global store be available?

    A: All sales data and financial statements related to the global store will be accessible in your UAE Seller Lab account. To view this information, select ‘Saudi Arabia’ as the country in the account settings.

    DirectShip and SKU Requirements

    Q: Can Directship inventory be sold on the Global store?
    A: Unfortunately, only those SKUs that are available in one of the noon’s following UAE warehouse can be sold on Global store.

    Q: What additional information is required to activate SKUs for the Global Store?

    A:

    • Obtain Country of Origin (COO) and HS Code for all SKUs.
    • Refer to this article for detailed SKU activation steps.

    Customer Returns

    Q: How are customer returns processed?

     A:  For FBN (Fulfilled by Noon) sales, all customer returns, except for warranty claims, are handled at Noon’s Saudi warehouse as follows:
          QC Process:
      • QC Pas(Sellable Items): Items meeting Noon’s quality guidelines will be restocked in the UAE Free Zone Warehouse and listed for sale in both UAE and KSA markets.
      • QC Fail (Non-Sellable Items): Items that do not meet the quality standards will remain in the Free Zone Warehouse but will not be live for sale. 
          Sellers can request RTV (Return to Vendor) or use Noon’s liquidation service. Seller will be compensated for liquidation as per noon guidelines.

    RTV Process and Charges

    Q: How can a seller request RTV from Freezone WH and what are the charges?
    A: RTV from Freezone WH needs custom clearance from relevant authorities. It can be done by the seller independently or through a trusted partner assigned by noon. All charges to be borne by the seller. Once the seller provides required documents, the RTV will be delivered to seller by noon similar to the process in local FBN. The applicable charges are same as local FBN WH charges for RTV and can be seen here.

    Warranty Compliance in KSA

    Q: What are the warranty requirements in KSA and how can a seller enable the warranty?
    A: All items need to meet KSA Saudi requirements by law. Seller needs to enable warranty as noon global guidelines here
