This article addresses common questions sellers have about Fulfilled by Partner Integration (FBPI), Noon's fulfillment model designed for sellers who prefer to operate and manage their own warehouses using API-based integration.
Whether you're new to FBPI or considering transitioning to it, this FAQ aims to give you a clear and concise understanding of how it works and what to expect.
1. What is FBPI?
FBPI stands for Fulfilled by Partner Integration, a fulfillment model that allows sellers to manage their own warehouse operations independently while staying integrated with Noon systems through APIs. Sellers can update inventory, process orders, manage shipments, and more—directly from their systems.
2. Who is FBPI designed for?
FBPI is ideal for sellers with existing operational capabilities and technical readiness to handle warehouse activities on their own. This includes real-time updates on stock, order processing, and shipment management via direct system integration.
3. What kind of setup do I need to work with FBPI?
You’ll need either:
- A system that can integrate with Noon via API, or
- A third-party integrator who already supports Noon’s FBPI flows.
Your system should support endpoints for inventory, order processing, shipping status updates, and returns handling.
4. Do I have to work with a third-party integrator?
Most sellers work with a third-party integrator, especially when they do not have internal technical resources. However, it’s not mandatory. If you have a capable tech team and wish to integrate directly, you can act as your own integrator. Noon provides the necessary documentation to guide you through the process.
5. What systems does FBPI support?
FBPI supports both Noon and Namshi marketplaces. Once integrated, your system can serve orders placed on either platform seamlessly using the same API integration.
6. Is there a minimum volume or scale requirement to use FBPI?
There is no fixed minimum, but sellers who choose FBPI typically handle moderate to high volumes and have strong operational control over their warehouses. Noon will assess your setup during onboarding to ensure suitability.
7. Can I convert an existing warehouse to FBPI?
No. A warehouse operating under a different fulfillment model (such as FBN or FBP) cannot be converted to FBPI. Instead, you must create a new, dedicated warehouse code for FBPI operations. Sellers may operate multiple warehouse types under the same account, but each must have a unique code and fulfillment flow.
8. How do I create an FBPI warehouse?
Warehouse creation is done via Seller Lab or via coordination with your Noon account manager. Once the warehouse is created, integration setup can begin, and you’ll receive test credentials and endpoint details for your environment.
9. What capabilities do I get access to once onboarded?
Sellers onboarded to FBPI gain visibility into:
- Warehouse setup and configuration (codes, location, SLAs)
- Inventory syncing
- Orders dashboard and fulfillment tracking
- Shipment status updates
- Returns and RTO flows
All of these are managed through API integration.
10. What support does Noon provide for FBPI sellers?
Noon offers:
Full documentation on FBPI APIs
A dedicated onboarding team to help test and validate integrations
Ongoing operational support to monitor order success, inventory syncing, and SLAs
11. Can I operate multiple FBPI warehouses?
Yes. Sellers can create and operate more than one FBPI warehouse under their account if they manage operations across different locations or regions.
12. What should I do if an order isn’t reflecting or syncing?
This usually indicates a misalignment in integration—such as inventory not being pushed to the correct warehouse or API errors. Check your logs for failures, and contact Noon’s support or integration team to investigate further.
13. What is expected from the seller during onboarding?
You’ll be asked to:
- Provide warehouse details (location, SLAs)
- Integrate your system with Noon staging using the provided API docs
- Complete a series of test scenarios (inventory updates, order processing, shipment handling)
- Ensure your team is equipped to manage live order flows once enabled
14. Can I move back to another fulfillment model later?
While sellers can operate multiple models under their account, each warehouse is tied to one fulfillment type. If you want to operate under a different model, you’ll need to create a new warehouse under that model—there is no switching between fulfillment types on the same warehouse code.
15. Does FBPI support cross-border or local fulfillment only?
FBPI supports both domestic and cross-border fulfillment, depending on the setup of your warehouse and integration. Your warehouse can be configured accordingly during onboarding.
