In this article, we are going to explore the noon Global Shipping (NGS) model now available to sellers based in China


  1. What is noon Global Shipping?

With the noon Global Shipping (NGS) model, sellers based in China can directly reach customers in the Middle East (UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman) without having to set up their business locally. (i.e. no need to have a UAE or KSA Trade license and VAT)

  1. How does it work?

With this model, once an order is placed, the seller just needs to drop-off the product at the noon’s consolidation hub in China (mentioned below), post which noon takes care of the entire logistics from the noon’s consolidation to the customer’s doorstep

  1. Am I eligible to sell under the ‘noon Global Shipping’ model?

Yes, if you are a seller registered in China with a valid Chinese Commercial Registration you are eligible to list and sell under noon Global Shipping model

  1. What is the pricing structure for the 'noon Global Shipping' model?

The noon Global Shipping model is designed to make international selling simple and hassle-free for sellers.


 a.In this model, the seller uploads the price in USD of a product (called Transfer Price   in  noon’s system). This is the amount the seller expects to receive for each unit sold. The ‘Transfer Price’ should exclude all international logistics-related costs such as cross-border shipping, customs duties, taxes, and clearance fees, as these are fully handled by noon.

 b. noon will cover the costs related to international logistics, customs duties, clearance,   and  other cross-border operational expenses and will be charged to the customer directly


By doing this, sellers do not need to calculate or manage complex international shipping or customs costs. noon determines the markup internally and takes full ownership of cross-border logistics, allowing sellers to focus only on setting a competitive Transfer Price and growing their business.

  1. Who is responsible for the VAT in the destination countries?

    1. noon calculates and pays the applicable VAT to the respective tax authorities based on the prevailing tax rates in each destination market. Sellers are not required to register for VAT or manage VAT payments in the destination countries.

  1. How does the payout work?

    1. Under the noon Global Shipping model, noon pays the seller once an item is successfully delivered to the customer.


  1. The payout amount is equal to the Transfer Price set by the seller for the product. There are no additional fees or charges deducted from this amount. Sellers are paid strictly based on the Transfer Price they have defined.

  1. How do returns work?
    In case of returns, sellers don’t have to worry about shipping it back to China - noon will take care of it by assessing the salability of the returned item and handling the next steps

a. Item is salable: noon will list the items as local FBN inventory 

  1. Once it is listed under FBN, the items will follow the FBN rate card for the marketplace (Refer to the AE and SA FBN Rate cards for more details)

  2. Sellers are encouraged to set the product price directly through Seller Lab. If a price is not added, noon will automatically apply a default price to ensure your product goes live without any delays. 

  3. This default price is calculated to make sure you receive an amount close to your Transfer Price at the time of sale. You can modify or update the price anytime from Seller Lab 

  4. noon will also waive off the FBN storage fee for up to 60 days 


  

b. Item is non-salable: (in case of customer returns) - noon will support in liquidating the items in UAE/KSA. In this case, noon will not charge any inventory removal or disposal fees to the seller. However, the seller will not receive any proceeds from these items, or alternatively, the seller may choose to return them to their local warehouse (RTV).


  1. What items can be listed under the program?

 a.Sellers can list any item that complies with noon’s prohibited and restricted items policy

  1. How to get started with the ‘noon Global Shipping’ model? Getting started with the noon Global Shipping model is simple and can be   completed in 6 easy steps:

Step 1: Create a noon seller account
  1. Sign Up: Click the ‘Sign up now’ button on this registration link, which will take you to the Organization ID creation page.

  2. Email Verification: Confirm your email by entering the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your email.

  3. Phone Verification: Verify your phone number using the OTP sent to your mobile device. Sellers can use a phone number from any country when signing up and creating their Org ID.

  4. Project Name: Choose a unique project name for identification (not visible to customers).

  5. Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll receive your unique Organization ID, allowing you to proceed to Step 2.



Step 2: Create your store(s)
  1. Create one store for UAE and one store for KSA

These stores will be used to list your products and set the Transfer Price


  1. Select the country that you want to list your products in (UAE or KSA) and the country where your business is registered in?


  1. Provide a store name in both English and Arabic. This store name will be visible to the customers

  2. Also, provide the contact information for the store. You can provide the same information as the one provided while creating the account or choose to assign different contact as well


  1. After this, you’ll be asked a few questions which will help us understand you better and personalize your experience with noon

Now that your store is created successfully, you will need to verify your business. You can do that by:

  1. Going to the ‘store details’ >> Select ‘legal and payments’ >> clicking ‘+ Add new’ under ‘Legal Entity’ section

Alternatively, you can navigate to the same section through the Seller guide by clicking on ‘Create Legal Entity’ available to you on the seller guide page


  1. You’ll be redirected to a new webpage, where you need to select ‘Which Country Are You Registered In?’ 

  1. In the next step, you will need to provide the details of your registered business - License number, Registered Name and Address, Issue Date and Expiry Date. Optionally, you can also provide the list of allowed activities

  2. Upload your Company Registration document and click on ‘Create legal entity’. 


This will create your Legal Entity, but you cannot submit it for approval yet. 


  1. You now need to add Tax details. First, select the country you want to do business in and then select “Non VAT Registered” 


  1. You will now need to add an authorized signatory who will receive and sign the T&Cs for the program

  2. You can now trigger the T&Cs email and the same will be sent to the Authorized Signatory’s email address, where you can click on it to sign the same


  1. Once all sections are filled, click Submit Legal Entity for Approval to complete the submission. and then confirm by clicking on Submit for Approval.




  1. The status of your legal entity will show Submitted for approval.


Step 4: Create a warehouse

Create a warehouse at a local address in China

  • This warehouse is used only to update inventory levels

  • It will not be used for logistics or shipping

Please note:

  • Processing time: Time that will take for you to fulfil the order and drop it off at the nearest noon’s consolidation hub in China

  • Delivery Model: While selecting a delivery model select “Noon International Logistics (UAE / KSA ) - For global shipping” from the drop down.

After setting up your stores and warehouse, you’re ready to proceed with product listing.


Step 5: Listing your SKUs on the platform
  1. Product listing under the noon Global Shipping model follows the standard noon listing process and guidelines

  2. You can choose to either 

    1. List a single SKU using the ‘product listing page’ or 

    2. Upload the assortment in bulk using our convenient NIS Uploader to add upto 10000 SKUs in a single click

  3. Once listed, your products will go through the QC approval process

Step 6: Add in Transfer price and Inventory
  1. Add in your transfer price for each product in USD using this importer (link)


  1. Add/ update the inventory you want to list on noon (link)



Once all the above steps are completed and approvals are in place, your products will automatically go live on the platform and will be ready to receive customer orders.


Step 7: Setting up an invoicing profile 

To simplify and enhance invoicing accuracy for global sellers, we’ve introduced Invoicing Profiles. With this feature, you can ensure compliance with invoicing requirements if your products are being shipped internationally.

  1. What to do once an order is received?

Once you receive an order under noon Global Shipping, you need to:

Step 1: Prepare and pack the order
  1. Prepare the ordered items for transfer to the noon consolidation hub in accordance with the process mentioned in the link

  2. For orders under noon Global Shipping, sellers do not need to use noon packaging material

Step 2: Ship or drop off the package
  1. You can either ship the package or drop it off directly at noon’s designated consolidation hub in China within the processing time you have set for the warehouse

Once the package is received at the consolidation hub, noon will take care of international shipping, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery to the customer.


  1. How to receive payouts once an order is fulfilled

noon offers multiple payout options for international sellers to receive their earnings:

  • Bank Account

  • Payoneer

  • LianLian

While adding payout details is optional before listing your products, it is mandatory to complete and get them approved in order to start receiving payments. Sellers must ensure their payout details are successfully approved by noon
